The Bear is a sub-troop that is a transformation of a Druid. This transformation occurs when the Druid has remained in his human form for 25 seconds or after the Druid's health bar is depleted. The Bear cannot be trained directly.
The Bear is a defense-targeting troop with moderate damage and somewhat high hitpoints. Unlike the Druid, he cannot bypass Walls .
Bears prioritize defensive structures above all other targets, and will bypass all other types of enemy buildings and troops while any defenses remain on the battlefield. This is true even if they are under attack by enemy Clan Castle troops, Heroes or Skeleton Trap skeletons. Note that like all troops that prioritize defenses, Bears do not consider the Clan Castle to be a defense regardless of whether or not it contains enemy troops, but do consider the activated Town Hall weapon (if any) to be defensive buildings. Once all defenses are destroyed, Bears become like any other troop with no preferred target; they will attack the nearest building to them regardless of type, and will turn and attack enemy units if they become aware of any nearby and can fight back against them. However, they will not switch targets to enemy units until their previous target was destroyed.
Bears take up 10 housing space for the purpose of interacting with the Spring Trap , Tornado Trap , Clone Spell , and Recall Spell .
After the Druid transforms into the Bear, he can help by becoming a mini tank for other important units (such as Heroes and damage dealers such as Wizards or Balloons to improve their survivability).
Bears are weak to Spring Trap , so you may need to place small troops to waste them, or use ground troops with a spring weight higher than 18 or a Hero to trigger them in order to prevent the Bears from being bounced off the village .
Bears are vulnerable to single-targeting defenses such as Ricochet Cannons , Monoliths , and single-targeting Inferno Towers . You can either use a Freeze Spell , which stops them from firing, an Invisibility Spell , which turns your Bears invisible, or use the Overgrowth Spell to disable the defenses completely, so that they will attack that part of the base later.

The Bear's main weakness is the Spring Trap, as when the Bear walks on it, the Bear will be sent flying off of the village.
Walls, at higher levels, are a very effective way to defend against Bears, as due to their massive hitpoints, the Bears will have a hard time destroying them.
Initially, the Bear is a large, vermilion-brown animal with some of his hair being yellow and has sharp claws and teeth.
At level 3, the Bear's vermilion-brown fur turns golden brown.
At level 5, the Bear's golden-brown fur is now prussian-black, and his legs gain golden armbands.
