  • Mega Mines are a trap available in the Clan Capital, available at Capital Hall level 2. Just like Mega Mines in the Builder Base, they can be toggled between attacking ground units and attacking air units, but cannot attack both at the same time.
  • The Mega Mine resembles a regular Mine of equal level but is much larger and has two chains holding it to the ground instead of one, when set to air mode.
  • Do not allow these bombs to be triggered by a simple Battle Ram or something cheap. Using one of them can one-shot Super Wizards at lower levels (and nevertheless severely damage them at higher levels) and can really be useful in sticky situations such as defenses only targeting Super Giants .
  • Because of its high damage, it is recommended to place it inside the base to deal heavy damage to tanks as it can be triggered by a small unit when outside.
  • It may be beneficial to set the Mega Mine to ground in trophy ranges where medium-health troops like the Raid Cart and Hog Raiders are common. and set normal Mines to air instead.
  • Some players place their Mega Mines on the outside of their bases, to ensure that troops will trigger them early, helping to prevent 50% destruction. The best place to put outside Mega Mines is behind external buildings, but in front of external Walls . This ensures that troops will get grouped up while destroying the external building, after which the bomb triggers, destroying many troops at once.
  • Other players prefer to place the Mega Mine further into their bases to act as a trap for Hog Raiders and Super Giant groups. Placing them between two Defensive Buildings ensures that the Super Giants and Hog Raiders will be closely grouped before triggering the mine.

  • Try to trigger them with a single expendable troop such as a Super Barbarian if you can; drop them one by one near 2×2 spaces in an attempt to trigger them as to prevent further losses in your army.
  • Use a Capital Healing Spell to heal your remaining troops, especially if you are a lower level using a Super Giant attacking strategy after they trigger a Mega Mine.
  • When you see a Mega Mine about to explode, do not deploy more troops near it as they will explode too, because the Mega Mine has a time between when it explodes.
  • Try using a troop with lots of hitpoints such as a Super P.E.K.K.A to trigger the Mega Mine as they will not take much damage compared to their overall health.
  • The Mega Mine undergoes significant visual changes at level 3, 4 and 5. When initially built, the Mega Mine is a large wooden barrel with ropes strapped around it to hold it together. A red fuse connects a yellow square timer located on the side of the barrel to the head. Periodically, the timer rotates 90° clockwise. If the Mega Mine is set to air, chains can be seen suspending the barrel in midair. At level 2, the ropes are replaced by steel reinforcements that are fixed to the barrel with nails. At level 3, the barrel is painted red. At level 4, the wooden barrel is replaced by a red metallic sphere with various steel parts, including a band of steel around its equator, reinforcements supporting the band, as well as a gray metallic pressure plate on the poles and nails around it. At level 5, the square timer disappears, and more metal pressure plates are added above and below the equator of the sphere.
