“For sub-zero snowballs these little guys have a surprising lack of chill. They'll hop off of Frosty and jump over to give the nearest defense a nasty case of frostbite.”

Frostmites are small creatures spawned by Frosty . Similar to Yetimites , they will move quickly to attack the nearest defense, jumping over Walls if needed. They inflict very low damage, but anything it hits will be chilled, slowing them down for a short period.
In the artwork, a Frostmite appears to be a clump of snow molded together, with hollow blue eyes, and has two small arms. In battle, they are periwinkle and their eyes are white in color, and they appear identical to Yetimites . When it attacks, it jumps into the targeted defense (or unit), melting itself in the process.
Frostmites prioritize defensive structures above all other targets, and will bypass all other types of enemy buildings and troops while any defenses remain on the battlefield. This is true even if they are under attack by enemy Clan Castle troops, Heroes or Skeleton Trap skeletons. Note that like all troops that prioritize defenses, Frostmites do not consider the Clan Castle to be a defense regardless of whether or not it contains enemy troops, but do consider the activated Town Hall weapon (if any) to be defensive buildings. Once all defenses are destroyed, Frostmites become like any other troop with no preferred target; they will attack the nearest building to them regardless of type, and will turn and attack enemy units if they become aware of any nearby and can fight back against them. However, they will not switch targets to enemy units until their previous target was destroyed.
Frostmites (just like Yetimites ), do half damage to resource storages if they attack them. In particular, this applies to the Town Hall level 12 and above if its Giga weapon is active, because it is classed as both a defense and a resource storage in that case.
Frostmites are considered to take 1 housing space for determining its interactions with the Spring Trap , Clone Spell , and Recall Spell .
Frostmites can be useful for distracting single-targeting defenses, as they have relatively high health and can stall the defense with their frost effect.
The Frostmites can also be a meat shield to your Army . Because of their fast movement speed , defenses will be distracted by the Frostmites, and your army can help to destroy them.

Frostmites are hard to stop largely due to the fact that they have a good amount of hitpoints and generally will not have to travel far to reach a defense it can damage; oftentimes they will spawn right in front of a defense, and damage is almost unavoidable in that scenario. To combat this, it is best to make sure Frosty and his Hero cannot reach your defenses easily so that the Frostmites will have to travel for longer to reach your defenses.
High-damage defenses focused on Frostmites will be able to destroy them in time, but often these same defenses will be distracted by the Frosty, his Hero or your opponent's main army. Multi-targeting defenses, such as Inferno Towers , Giga Teslas , or Giga Infernos are a great counter to Frostmites. Scattershots are also able to one-shot the Frostmite if it manages a direct hit.
Spring Traps can remove Frostmites before they can do damage, but this is frequently situational and usually do not make or break your defense. Giant Bombs can also deal severe damage to Frostmites, but are similarly situational.
The Frostmite's sprite shares the same texture as the Yetimite , but with a different fur and eye color.
The Frostmite's attack resembles the attacks of Ice Spirit from Clash Royale , which damage targets by sacrificing themselves in a similar fashion but does not freeze the target and simply slowing them down.
