  • The Mighty Yak is the third Pet unlocked from the level 3 Pet House . It has very high health, and does extra damage (x20) to Walls , similar to the Wall Wrecker .
  • Every time the Mighty Yak moves, once it is in contact with other buildings and it will ram into it and deal a first strike once it stops, then the second attack happens after 1.6 seconds then return to its normal attack rate of 2.1 seconds.
  • The Mighty Yak prioritizes a target within 7 tiles of the Hero that the Mighty Yak is paired to. If the Hero is knocked out or removed from battle by a Recall Spell , the Mighty Yak behaves like a troop with no preferential target; they will attack the nearest building to them regardless of type, and will turn and attack enemy units if they become aware of any nearby and can fight back against them.
  • When the Hero it is assigned to is knocked out, the Mighty Yak will temporarily be raged, doing extra damage and moving faster for 8 seconds. It does not enrage if its Hero is still available to fight but is removed from battle by a Recall Spell. If the Hero was knocked out but later revived by a Revive Spell , the Mighty Yak will not enrage if the Hero gets knocked out again.
  • If the Hero was knocked out but later revived by a Revive Spell , the Mighty Yak will not enrage if the Hero gets knocked out again.
  • The Mighty Yak pairs well with the Archer Queen . Because of its high hitpoints, the Mighty Yak is able to soak up hits for not only the Archer Queen, but also the Archers spawned by her Royal Cloak ability. It will break apart Walls to make Queen Charges much easier to pull off.
  • The Mighty Yak also pairs well with the Barbarian King . This is because the Barbarian King is the only melee Hero in the game and needs Walls to be broken to enter the base, and the Yak can help break such Walls. Funneling the King is still recommended, however, as the Yak will generally not attack Walls unless both it and the King need to.
  • He can also be used in Hero Sui attacks, where not only the Mighty Yak will be raged and destroy its surroundings quickly, it being extremely tanky can help set up the later attack, with it being the main tank with maybe a Royal Champion or other tanks.

  • Place traps along your base that is the weakest to help take out the Mighty Yak. Generally, a Tornado Trap would do.
  • Due to its high hitpoints as compared to other pets, the Yak is generally difficult to stop, especially when paired with the Barbarian King (who can tank for it). High-damage defenses such as single-target Inferno Towers , Ricochet Cannons and/or Monoliths work very well should the Yak move in front of the Hero and be vulnerable to attack.
  • Alternatively, one could try to limit the Yak's capability of opening compartments, by designing a base with many compartments to minimize the damage possible should a compartment be opened. Having "island" compartments (where a single building is isolated from other buildings in its own compartment) can also be viable against the Yak when it is paired with the Barbarian King or Archer Queen, since without funneling or opening the compartment directly with Wall Breakers or otherwise, the Hero will likely move to the sides, taking their Yak along with him or her.
  • Force retarget for Mighty Yak if it is helping the Hero to destroy a wall and the Hero is knocked out or targets something else.
  • Mighty Yak's level now shows boosted badge in battle end screen when Hero Potion is active.

  • In the description, it states that the Mighty Yak is built like a Siege Machine, which likely refers to a Wall Wrecker since they both deal extra damage to Walls . Indeed, it attacks similar to a Wall Wrecker, continuously slamming defenses and walls with their heads. • The Mighty Yak is the only pet unable to bypass Walls, which is partly compensated by its ability to greatly damage them.
