  • Hero Banners are structures placed to mark patrol points for the defending Heroes . Each Banner can be occupied only by one Hero.
  • Hero Banners are not bought in the shop, and are instead unlocked by upgrading the Hero Hall . Placing available Hero Banners are required to upgrade the Town Hall. Having more Hero Banners allows more Heroes to participate on defense.
  • All Heroes will defend as ground troops, except for the Minion Prince , who flies. This includes the Grand Warden , who can only defend in ground mode despite having the ability to fly when attacking.
  • Hero Banners themselves are not targetable nor have hitpoints unlike Altars as they are no longer buildings, so they are not counted towards an attack's destruction percentage. However, they can still prevent troops from deploying one tile around them unlike other obstacles.
