  • O.T.T.O's Outpost is the central building in the second stage of the Builder Base, similar to how the Builder Hall is the central building for its first stage. Protection of the O.T.T.O's Outpost is critical for preventing players from getting one star on your base in an attack. Upgrading O.T.T.O's Outpost allows you to improve its statistics.
  • Upon its destruction, Zappies will spawn from it. Upgrading the O.T.T.O's Outpost increases its hitpoints, DPS, and number of Zappies spawned. The Zappies can still spawn even if the O.T.T.O's Outpost is upgrading, meaning that upgrading the Outpost does not impede your defense.
  • The Zappies can still spawn even if the O.T.T.O's Outpost is upgrading, meaning that upgrading the Outpost does not impede your defense.
  • Once it is available, O.T.T.O will serve as the permanent second builder of the Builder Base.
  • Despite having defensive capabilities via its Zappies, the O.T.T.O's Outpost does not count as a defensive building for stage quotas (it is instead locked to being placed in stage two). It will not meet the defense-upgrading requirement of B.O.B Control if it is upgraded to level 9.
  • Unlike the Builder Hall, upgrading the O.T.T.O's Outpost has no bearing on Builder Base progression; upgrades within the Builder Base are still controlled by the Builder Hall level.
  • Protection of the O.T.T.O's Outpost is critical for defense, as letting it be destroyed will give up a star to the attacker, regardless of existing damage on the stage. Additionally, the defenses can provide support to the Zappies that spawn when the Outpost is destroyed.
  • The O.T.T.O's Outpost has the highest hitpoints of any relative level building, with the exception of Walls , which means they take a long time to destroy. Placing O.T.T.O's Outpost within the range of your most powerful defenses can give them the most shots to destroy enemy troops. The Zappies themselves have relatively high HP and deal good damage as well, further holding back the opponent.

  • Do not place the O.T.T.O's Outpost in a corner surrounded by Walls, as troops can still be placed next to the O.T.T.O's Outpost.

  • Because it functions as the Builder Hall of stage 2, try to destroy it, as that will nab you an extra star.
  • Due to the power of the Zappies, it is best to use a troop ability to clear them out before the Zappies and other defenses do major damage. Baby Dragon 's Fiery Sneeze, Drop Ship 's Skeleton Bomb, Power P.E.K.K.A 's Overcharge, Battle Copter 's Bomb Rush, even Bomber 's bouncing bomb (as the bomb can bounce twice and kill the zappies) are all powerful splash abilities that can heavily damage, if not wiping out most, if not all the Zappies.
  • If you have very few troops to work with for stage two, and do not expect to make much progress, you could try to snipe the O.T.T.O's Outpost for a 4-star, which will net more trophies and loot than a 3-star regardless of damage. Power P.E.K.K.As' Overcharge damage is excellent for this, with two of them using their Overcharge being able to destroy a relative-level Outpost (one may suffice if the Outpost is underleveled), and they can do this damage even if separated from the Outpost by one layer of Walls - at Builder Hall 9 or above, you can carry two Power P.E.K.K.As for this in your Reinforcement Camps . High-level (level 16+; recommended level 20) Baby Dragons can also be used with their Fiery Sneeze ability, due to its misleadingly large area of effect. However, since the ability does less damage than the Power P.E.K.K.A's Overcharge, this only works well on low level Outposts. Against a relative-level Outpost, three or four may be required.

  • O.T.T.O's Outpost undergoes significant visual changes at levels 2, 5, 6, 8, and 9. When initially constructed, O.T.T.O's Outpost is a two-roofed small building, with the entrance on the lower roof. The roofs are made of unorganized square wood planks stacked over each other. On the upper roof, and there is a Hammer and Saw panel on a wooden plank slab. To the left side, there is a giant wooden hamster wheel made of big wooden planks and tied together with rope. There is a Zappy in it, charging the outpost by spinning it clockwise. On the right, there is an makeshift electricity pole connected to another Zappy by wire, which is being charged by the outpost. At level 2, the roofs become made out of wood planks, with the bottom roof having two perpendicular planks bolted to it. At level 3, the metal ends of the sides of the top of the electricity poll are surrounded by steel toruses. At level 4, the wheel becomes replaced with smaller wooden planks and held together by two metal strips. At level 5, the roof becomes made out of curved clay tiles. At level 6, a stone disc spinning counter-clockwise is added to the side which has many steel balls attached to it. A giant metal ball on top of the pole is added which connects to the toruses. At level 7, a wooden barrel is added next to the entrance. At level 8, the wood planks under the panel and the wooden barrel change to blue. At level 9, the roof changes again to giant metal plates bolted to each other. The panel is now one blue steel slab with steel accents near the corners. At level 10, the wheel's planks become blue and the metal strips become gold.

  • The O.T.T.O's Outpost has the same hammer and saw on top as the Builder's Hut , serving as a nod for its similar function of housing a builder. In this case, O.T.T.O .
  • The addition of Zappies to the game is another instance of Clash of Clans introducing troops that were from Clash Royale, the 05/24/2016 update introduced Baby Dragons and Miners . Skeleton Spell later got reworked to use Guards .
  • If the O.T.T.O's Outpost is destroyed as the last building to get 200% destruction, the Zappies will not appear.
