  • The Azure Dragon is a temporary troop that was introduced during the Dragon Festival event, along with the Firecracker . It is unlocked after collecting 3,000 . It made its return during the 13th Clashiversary event on August 1, 2025, where one was made available independently of the player's army during Multiplayer Battles.
  • The Azure Dragon attacks with globules of water which pierce through targets over a short distance, effectively dealing splash damage in a straight line. It is capable of targeting both ground and air, but cannot target both with the same attack. Buildings can only be hit if the Azure Dragon was targeting ground.
  • The Azure Dragon attacks in bursts of three shots at a time, though it may stop attacking mid-burst if a partial burst is sufficient to destroy its main target.
  • Azure Dragons have no preferred target when attacking; they will simply attack the closest building . However, if they become aware of enemy Clan Castle troops , Heroes , or Skeleton Trap skeletons (either by being attacked themselves or by being near another friendly troop under attack), and can fight back against them, they will leave their previously targeted building and instead engage the enemy troops. Once all of the nearby enemy troops are defeated, the Azure Dragons will proceed to attack the nearest structure.
  • The Azure Dragon's closest comparable troop is the Super Dragon , as both troops have the same housing space, do splash damage, and have a large splash radius. While it does have a hefty amount of health, it is recommended to send in an air tank to help it sustain its enormous DPS.
  • The Azure Dragon's piercing splash attack does not have any falloff, meaning that it could prove prudent to send them in on storages and use the storages to hit the main defenses, but be warned that they may melt the storages too fast for this strategy to hold significant value. A few good units to pair with it are the Lava Hounds , Balloons , and Electro Dragons .

  • Handle them similarly to Super Dragons, but stay mindful of their splash attack. Balloons and Ice Golems will deter them for long enough to take them out.
  • Seeking Air Mines , Monoliths , and single-target Inferno Towers are the main threats to Azure Dragons. For the Seeking Air Mines, make sure to place them in areas where Azure Dragons are most likely to enter the base. For the Monoliths and single-target Inferno Towers, make sure to protect them with defenses in a way that the Azure Dragons cannot get any value.

  • You could have a maximum of 8 Azure Dragons at one time in a complete set of fully upgraded Army Camps . On the battlefield, you could clone an additional 4 Azure Dragons with four fully upgraded Clone Spells (three from the regular spell inventory and one from a level 10 or higher Clan Castle). These total to a maximum of 12 Azure Dragons.
  • Ground troops that would be one-shot by a single hit of the Azure Dragon will be launched off the battlefield in a similar fashion to the Super Archer , Log Launcher , Spring Trap , and the Giant Cannon 's projectile.
  • So far, the Azure Dragon's description is the longest out of any unit in the game.
