- The Snake Barrel was a temporary Lunar New Year troop added with the Snake Festival Event.
- In its artwork, the Snake Barrel appears to be a light green-colored barrel with a white snake icon on it, and has red lanterns that help make the barrel float in air. It has nonagonal-shaped metal rims at the ends, with opening having six triangular symbols that form a hexagon. The metal supports that hold the lanterns and the barrel resemble the roof ends of a Chinese house. When it attacks or is destroyed, the lanterns vanish and the barrel is instantly destroyed, summoning a number of Snakes depending on its level.
- When deployed, it moves towards the nearest defense, and attempts to attack it. If it is successful, the Snake Barrel will instantly drop to the ground, dealing damage before spawning several Snakes. However, if the barrel is destroyed by defenses, it will still spawn its Snakes.
- Snake Barrels prioritize defensive structures above all other targets, and will bypass all other types of enemy buildings and troops while any defenses remain on the battlefield. This is true even if they are under attack by enemy Clan Castle troops, Heroes or Skeleton Trap skeletons. Note that like all troops that prioritize defenses, Snake Barrels do not consider the Clan Castle to be a defense regardless of whether or not it contains enemy troops, but do consider the activated Town Hall weapon (if any) to be defensive buildings. Once all defenses are destroyed, Snake Barrels become like any other troop with no preferred target; they will attack the nearest building to them regardless of type, and will turn and attack enemy units if they become aware of any nearby and can fight back against them. However, they will not switch targets to enemy units until their previous target was destroyed.

- The Snake Barrel is functionally similar to the Skeleton Barrel troop , except it targets defenses, and also has the same targeting priority as the Capital Skeleton Barrel . Additionally, the Snakes that come out from the Snake Barrel can jump over walls, something that Skeletons cannot normally do.
