  • The Rage Gem is a piece of Common Hero Equipment for the Grand Warden . It is unlocked when the Blacksmith is upgraded to level 4, which requires Town Hall level 11.
  • The Rage Gem appears to be a purple gemstone shaped like a vial which as a reddish-purple cover and is held by a reddish-purple rope. When equipped, it casts a purple magical aura around the Grand Warden that grants additional damage to units while they stay within the aura's radius. The area of effect is denoted by a circular ring centered around the Warden. However, the aura disappears when he is defeated in battle.
  • The Rage Gem aura's percent damage increase has no effect on the Grand Warden himself, however he does gain increased damage per second and attack speed by having it equipped.
  • The aura of the Rage Gem does not stack with the Rage Spell . If a Rage Spell is used within the Rage Gem's aura, the Rage Spell's stronger effects will supersede the Rage Gem's.
  • As with Rage Spells, the damage increase of the Rage Gem is halved on other Heroes, and does not work on Siege Machines .
  • Unlike the conventional Rage Spell, the Rage Gem's aura does not increase the attack and movement speed of units inside the ring.
  • Because it is passive, you can use it all around to boost your damage dealers to destroy defenses faster and for a more successful attack. Note that however, it does not boost speed nor attack speed, so troops such as Valkyrie might benefit more because of decent speed and attack speed.

  • The Rage Gem is excellent for Warden Walks. Not only does its passive boosts increase the damage output of the Grand Warden, the resulting aura will enrage the Healers , allowing them to heal damage more quickly. This allows the Warden Walk to be both faster and safer, but also potentially less resource-intensive, since less Spells and Healers will be needed for a successful walk. The Rage Gem works really well with the Fireball in Warden Walks, due to the increased damage from its passive effect, whilst also making funneling faster and easier with the ability.

  • One thing this could be paired up with the Rage Gem is the Eternal Tome , as the Rage Gem will increase the damage, while as the troops is invulnerable when they tackle the core of the base and the Town Hall. Be aware that defensive spells from the Giga Inferno and Poison Spell Tower can still slow the attack down.

  • Defenses and Clan Castle units which slow down or distract the advance of enemy units such as the Poison Spell Tower, Skeleton Traps, Ice Golems and Headhunters can prove to be effective, and can be the difference between a time fail and a three star.
  • Major defenses such as Ricochet Cannons , Multi-Archer Towers and the Town Hall boosted by a Rage Spell Tower can prove to be very effective as these defenses will take down targets as quickly as possible. However, this strategy may be ineffective if the Eternal Tome is involved, unless if there are defending units such as Ice Golems to freeze their units and waste the ability duration.

  • The Rage Gem originally was called Angry Tome with its own icon. This is most likely the first version for this equipment.
  • When the Rage Gem is initially unlocked, and when equipped, the Grand Warden attacks every 1.71 seconds and at max level, he attacks every 1.475 seconds.
  • The Rage Gem is currently the only variation of the Rage effect without boosting the affected troops movement speed.
  • The Rage Gem is one of the Rage effects in the game, the others being the Barbarian King's Barbarian Puppet and Rage Vial when activated, Baby Dragon (both Home Village and Builder Base, and only applies when they are separated 4.5 tiles away from other air units), Rage Spell (Home Village and Clan Capital), the Super Valkyrie 's death Rage Spell, the Mighty Yak 's Rage which only applies when his hero is knocked out, and Super Barbarian and Raged Barbarian 's initial Rage effect when deployed.
