  • Rapid Rockets are defensive buildings in the Clan Capital, unlocked at Capital Hall level 4. These are essentially a more powerful Air Defense , but with a shorter range. Upon detecting aerial enemies, it fires bursts of five rockets at them.
  • Their burst-style mechanic and their short-range places them somewhere between an Air Defense and Firecrackers , so they should be treated as such.
  • Rapid Rockets provide a more concentrated attack compared to Air Defenses , but have a shorter range than them. When using the two in conjunction to damage an air unit, one should place the Rapid Rockets in front of the Air Defense so that both can attack at the same time. This does come at the disadvantage of covering less area beyond them, which can allow Minion Hordes (or other air units) to pick off buildings farther away from the two defenses.
  • An important interaction is that when the Rapid Rockets are upgraded to at least level 2, they are able to destroy Rocket Balloons of equal level (or lower) in a single burst. When both units are level 1, the Rapid Rockets can only reduce a Rocket Balloon to 5 HP with a single volley, but the Balloon can be finished off with an air Mine if desired (which, without a Healing Spell , weakens other Balloons to be destroyed in one volley as well).
  • As with the regular Air Defense, one should protect Rapid Rockets from ground troops by using defenses capable of targeting ground units. Bomb Towers and Multi Mortars may be useful, as they can protect Rapid Rockets from Skeleton Barrel attacks and ward off waves of skeletons sent by Flying Fortresses .
  • Their high DPS potential to air troops means they can be sported by powerful defenses that cannot attack air, such as the Multi Cannon and Giant Cannon . Doing this ensures both buildings can effectively help with each other's weaknesses.
  • This is incredibly helpful as a support to take down tank troops such as the Flying Fortress .

  • Avoid attacking near these when using a mainly air army. This is quite powerful and can do a lot of work; as mentioned in the previous section, Rocket Balloons are at a disadvantage especially when Rapid Rockets are upgraded to level 2 or higher. Minion Hordes will fall faster against Rapid Rockets than a standard Air Defense due to the faster fire rate, but when used in sufficiently (and riskily) large numbers, are still able to overwhelm them.
  • When planning an air attack, it can be useful to set aside some space for Sneaky Archers to get rid of exposed Rapid Rockets, among other anti-air defenses. If they cannot be destroyed immediately by Archers, one can rush Rocket Balloons to the Rapid Rockets when it is distracted by other air units such as the Flying Fortress or Super Dragon .
  • Skeleton Barrels can be useful to take on Rapid Rockets if it is undefended or protected only by defenses that are weak to swarms such as Cannons , as the spawned skeletons can greatly overwhelm said defenses.
  • Rapid Rockets undergo significant visual changes at levels 3 and 5. When initially rebuilt, it is a pentagonal-shaped wooden barrel supported by a series of wooden fences and ropes. Within the barrel, there are 5 rockets sticking out of the barrel. At level 2, the barrel and wooden fences are now painted with a red color. The corners of the wooden fences are replaced with riveted iron plating. At level 3, the base of the rockets receives a reinforced stone fencing with 2 iron spikes at each corner. The barrel becomes larger and also changes in shape from a pentagon to a larger circular one and is now reinforced with riveted metal instead of ropes. The barrel now visibly accommodates 13 rockets instead of 5 and returns to its original color. At level 4, the base of the rockets against the ground is now painted with a red color including the barrel of the rockets itself. At level 5, the base becomes thicker and the corners receive a gold trim, a wider fencing, and a golden spike. The barrel of the rockets also receives iron spikes surrounding the upper metal band as reinforcements.
