  • Spear Traps are a trap available in the Clan Capital, available in the Goblin Mines district. When enough troops (at least 8 housing spaces' worth) move within its radius, it launches multiple spears, each of which hits a single enemy.
  • Only one spear can hit a given enemy, so if the Spear Trap is triggered when there are less targets available than there are spears to launch, not all of the spears will be fired.
  • This trap destroys Sneaky Archers even if they are invisible, and it can also take out other small troops. Since it is only triggered by troops with 8 or higher housing space within its radius, a Super Barbarian or Battle Ram cannot activate the trap on its own, although two placed at once can.
  • Larger troops like a single Super Giant or Super Dragon can trigger the trap on their own, wasting much of the trap's damage potential. Thus, it would be best to place the Spear Trap as far back as possible to prevent this from happening.

  • Tanks will be quite useless, since more than one spear will be fired, meaning that other troops behind the tank may take out small troops. It is also useful to use medium units to tank for the shots before using troops such as Sneaky Archers. Another strategy is to use a tank to find a location of a Spear Trap if you are using small troops, and purposely funnel troops away from where the trap is. This can be used to prevent damage dealt. A Graveyard Spell can also trigger this trap, but you need multiple Skeletons alive for a potential activation. A unit with at least 10 or more housing space like the Super Giant can trigger the Spear Trap, wasting the trap, unless if there are any more units involved in its range.

  • The Spear Trap undergoes significant visual changes at all levels.
  • When initially rebuilt, it is a wooden barrel with four spear launchers protruding from its sides. Grass appears on top of it as a camouflaging measure.
  • At every subsequent level, a new spear launcher is added, with existing spears moved such that they are spaced equally in a circle. In addition, the following changes also occur: At level 2, the barrel turns vermilion in color. At level 3, the barrel turns aqua in color. At level 4, each launcher is now colored gold instead of silver.
