  • The Battle Ram was a temporary troop released in August 2017 as part of the Clashiversary events. It was available from UTC 07:00 4/8/17 to UTC 07:00 11/8/17, and again from UTC 07:00 31/8/17 to UTC 07:00 7/9/17. It later appeared as part of the second batch of temporary troops in the 13th Clashiversary event, being available to train in the army from August 11, 2025.
  • When deployed, the Battle Ram moves quickly and will attempt to ram the nearest target at speed, dealing moderately high damage if successful. When its hitpoints are depleted or when it has hit a target, it will break apart to reveal four Barbarians .
  • Battle Rams prioritize Walls above all other targets, and will completely ignore any building or enemy troop while even a single segment of Wall exists on the battlefield. If all Wall segments are destroyed, Battle Rams become like any other troop with no preferred target; they will attack the nearest building to them regardless of type, and will turn and attack enemy units if they become aware of any nearby and can fight back against them.
  • Like all other temporary troops, the Battle Ram cannot be donated.
  • The Battle Ram cannot be upgraded in the Laboratory , but its stats scale by Town Hall level; higher Town Halls will have stronger Battle Rams. At Town Hall level n {\displaystyle n} , the Battle Ram deals ⌊ 3.84 ∗ ( 7 n + 23 ) ⌋ {\displaystyle \lfloor 3.84*(7n+23) \rfloor} damage and has ⌊ 3 ∗ ( 7 n + 23 ) ⌋ {\displaystyle \lfloor 3*(7n+23) \rfloor} hitpoints. Its spawned Barbarians, in the Battle Ram's first appearance, did ⌊ 2.3 + 0.7 n ⌋ {\displaystyle \lfloor 2.3+0.7n \rfloor} damage per second and had ⌊ 0.45 ∗ ( 7 n + 23 ) ⌋ {\displaystyle \lfloor 0.45*(7n+23) \rfloor} health. In the Battle Ram's second appearance, its spawned Barbarians do ⌊ 0.3 ∗ ( 7 n + 23 ) ⌋ {\displaystyle \lfloor 0.3*(7n+23) \rfloor} damage per second and has ⌊ 1.25 ∗ ( 7 n + 23 ) ⌋ {\displaystyle \lfloor 1.25*(7n+23) \rfloor} health.
  • Battle Rams do a lot of damage should they successfully hit a target, and also creates a funnel for your main army.
  • At relative level, Battle Rams are able to destroy a Wall in one hit and can also destroy Walls of higher level. They move faster than both Wall Breakers and Super Wall Breakers and can effectively substitute for them, taking only half as much housing space as the latter.

  • Place defenses that deal high DPS like Ricochet Cannons , Multi-Archer Towers , and Firespitters near anywhere where you think a Battle Ram might spawn. A Spring Trap can bounce a number of Battle Rams depending on its level, provided if they are correctly placed.
  • Splash defenses like the Scattershots , Bomb Towers , Mortars , and Wizard Towers can swiftly wipe out the Barbarians after their Battle Ram has been destroyed. Be sure to pair these defenses with point defenses so the two of them can destroy them, including the Barbarians.
  • You could have a maximum of 85 Battle Rams at one time in a complete set of fully upgraded Army Camps . On the battlefield, you could clone an additional 40 Battle Rams with four fully upgraded Clone Spells (three from the regular spell inventory and one from a level 10 or higher Clan Castle). These total to a maximum of 125 Battle Rams.
  • A battering ram is a siege engine that originated in ancient times and was designed to break open the masonry walls of fortifications or splinter their wooden gates. In its simplest form, a battering ram is just a large, heavy log carried by several people and propelled with force against an obstacle; the ram would be sufficient to damage the target if the log were massive enough and/or it were moved quickly enough. The earliest depiction of a possible battering ram is from the tomb of the 11th Dynasty noble Khety, where a pair of soldiers advance towards a fortress under the protection of a mobile roofed structure, carrying a long pole that may represent a simple battering ram. In Clash of Clans , the Siege Machine is known as the Wall Wrecker , in which it does a similar purpose but also has the ability to move (via wheels).

  • Between its two appearances in 2017, the Battle Ram was reworked. Its housing space was decreased to 4 (from 5). Its Barbarians' damage and hitpoints were greatly increased. It now deals 4x damage to Walls and now preferentially targets them.

  • Between its last appearance in 2017 and appearance in 2025, the Battle Ram gained further reworks: Damage per hit was reduced, but this is compensated by increasing the Wall damage multiplier to 40x (up from 4x), allowing them to one-shot Walls in most circumstances; The movement speed of the main Battle Ram was reduced slightly to 30 (from 32), but Barbarians' movement speed increased to 18 (from 16); Hitpoints of the Battle Ram have been increased overall. The statistics of the Barbarian have increased overall, although they are nerfed slightly at lower levels.

  • There is a special event where players must win ten Multiplayer Battles , using at least one-tenth of their army size in Battle Rams, which will reward players with 500 Experience and 250 Gems when completed.
  • After it became unavailable to train, players that still had Battle Rams could keep them in their Army Camps, at least until the October 2018 update, when all such temporary troops disappeared after their period ended. This was also true for the Ice Wizard .

  • Unlike their Clash Royale counterpart, the "ram" is wielded by four Barbarians instead of two. The Battle Ram in this game will also attack defensive troops if given the chance, unlike the Clash Royale counterpart which strictly only attacks buildings.
  • The Barbarians from the Battle Ram are not affected by the Barbarian King's Iron Fist ability.
